NEWMARKET LOAN.
THE POLL TO-DAY. To-day the ratepayers of Newmarket Borough are called on to sanction or negative the proposal of the Borough Council to borrow a sum of £30,000 for the purpose of street improvements under a scheme, the outlines of which hava already been publicly put before tha people of the borough. On Monday evening, at a public meetingj a motion favouring the loan was carried, and again yesterday evening, at a meeting con- N Tened by those opposei to the loan,, a resolution endorsing thai' the sanctioning of the loan was in the best, interests of the borough, was carriea.
