Heavy arrivals of butter in Sydney have ended the famine. Melba's Grand Opera Company arrived in Fremantle by the Mooltan. The company includes many stars. The temperature in Berlin yesterday reached 104 degrees in the shade. There have been serious forest fires in various parts of Germany Mr. Lloyd George, replying to a question in the House of Commons last night, said that Mr. Harcourt (Colonial Secretary) was now in communication with the Dominions relative to the composition of the Royal Commission on Empire trade.
