FOUND DROWNED.

An inquiry was held this morning by the Coroner (Mr. T. Gresham) into the 1 circumstances' attending the death of James Robertson, whose body was found on Saturday afternoon by two lads about half a mile from the <liore, and midway between Cox's Creek and Point Chevalier. Tho evidence showed, that deceased was 38 years of age, a widower, and employed as ft baker at Mr. Walter Buchanan's business in Karangahape-road. He had been missing since the evening of Saturday, July 5. His landlady stated that deceased had been in poor health for some time, and had suffered from insomnia. He had also shown sign 3of despondency, but had never threatened to take his life. It did not appear that he had any financial worries, as he had been in Tegular employment for some three years. Some £8 was found in his pockets. Dr. James Molr stated that he had examined the body, which was well nourished, and bore no marks of violence, but could find no evidence ae to the cause of death, owing to the 'length of time the body had been in the water. The jury brought in a verdict of found drowned, there being no evidence ito show how deceased got into the I water.
