MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. Mountain King.—The low level was extended lioft last week, in good working couutry. Tbe lode in the north stope under the intermediate level is small, though v little gold can still be seen. The two stopes above the intermediate level have been extended 15ft each, and ore of late values continues to be won. The manager bunked 40oz of bullion. The battery Is kept woiking eight hours per day, and Is working smoothly. Probably next week a new rise will be started to Intersect the chute of ore found above tbe main level at the north end of old workings. Occidental Consolidated.—The manager on Saturday morning got a few pieces of stone showing nice hlotches of gold. This came from the floor of the drive. The Loyalty ■reaf looks very well in the north face. The manager intends to have some etone assayed. Old Haurakl. —On new Teef at the 400f-t level the rise is up 28ft. The reef continues small, but there is a strong flow of water. In No. 2 block, five stopes are in •progress, and occasionally pieces of picked stone are secured. One stope Is -being worked In No. 3 -Mock, where the reef is now smaller than usual. At the 300 ft level iv ,No. 1 block, two stopes axe in oparation on the new reef. In No. 2 (block there are three stopes working, and 201bs of specimens -were got, each stope contributing. Golden (Belt.—The reef in the stope at it-he low level looks well, and colours of gold are seen in the quartz.
