Siberian 08/. Cheese.—The market has recovered and there is a better demand. Average price for the week for finest New Zealand per cwt, 68/. Hemp.—The market is steady, and prices have been well maintained, tvl_i better demand for forward delivery. .New Zealand good fair, on spot, per ton £21; .New Zealand fair grade, £20; fair current Manila, £-0. forward shipment of New Zealand fair, £21 10/; fair grade, £20 5/\ fair current Manila, £__. The output from Manila for the week was 25,000 kales. Wheat.—The market is very quiet, and no business is being done. The directors of the New Zealand Portland Cement Co. met this morning, and declared a dividend of 4 per cent, for the half-year ending 30th of April, 1911, payable on the 30th of June, 1911. niLL AND PLUMMER, LIMITED. The report of the year's operations, presented at the annual meeting of Hill aud Plummer, Limited, this afternoon, stated that the year had been a most satisfactory I one, the firm's turnover having increased by £8000. The profits show a corresponding increase, and after writing off depreciation on plant, stock, etc.. the directors were able to declare a dividend of 10 per cent, and a. bonus of 2 per cent., as against a 10 per cent, dividend only for the year previous.
