Messrs Richard Arthur and Co. offered for sale by public auction at 1.30 p.m. this afternoon a freehold block of buildings situated in Alexandra-street, and running through to Marmion-street. The block has n 100 ft frontage and a depth of 137 ft. The bidding started at £1000, the property being ultimately withdrawn at £1800. There was a fair attendance, nnd the bidding was spirited. It Is expected that the block will be sold privately.
