DOMINION'S ENSIGN.
TORN DOWN AND BURNED. THE NBWROSS INCIDENT. (Received 8.30 a.m.) LONDON. June 8. The Corporation at Newross, Wexford, discussed the action of the youths who {ore down the flags during a festival there on Tuesday. It was stated that the flags were New Zealand rnsigns. not Union Jacks. The offenders were youths who did not belong to the town. A cable received on Wednesday stated that amongst the flags decorating the street at a musical festival in Newross, Wexford, was the Union Jack, which a number of youths tore down and burned at the foot of the monument erected to •The Heroes of Ninety-eight," amidst shouting and cheering.
