BIRKBECK BANK SUSPENDS.
. DEFICIENCY OF £775,000. (Received 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 8. It is officially announced that the Birkleck Bank has suspended operations. Offing to the depreciation of securities the directors lodged a winding-up petition. Ihe? estimate the deficiency at £375.000. against which they hold guarantees ot £300,000. They anticipate that the creditors will receive an immediate 10/ in the B. Mr. Plender. auditor, estimates the deficiency at £775,000.
