Some interesting' details have leaked out concerning tlie'type of new gun which, Krupps are manufacturing for use against dirigibles and other air craft. The guns that will form part of land (defences are to be capable' of sending, shells to an altitude of 2G,oooft, while those to be installed aboard battleships ■will have an aerial range of 35,000 feet
To enable the gunners to follow, the exact course of the projectiles, the shells will be so made that they will leave trails of smoke behind in the dayr time and trails of fire at night.
