WESTS PICTURES. The new programme submitted at the Royal Albert lUill is a very line one, and iiu audience tnat nlled tlie building last night were demonstrative in their applause. "Training Monkeys in Egypt" nud "■Uliinpses of Bird L/ife" are both worthy of special mention. The dramatic studies are fascinating, whilst the humorous pictures are delightfully -amusing. The management, in order to fulfil a -ong felt want, huve decided to introduce matinee performances for scenic and industrial views only. The system will be inaugurated tomorrow afternoon. OPEKA HOUSE. The collection of moving pictures shown at the Opera House last evening elicited the hearty approbation of the large ai-fllence that was present. The programme will be repeated this evening, and the usual matinee will be held to-morrow afternoon. TIVOLI THEATRE. Dayne's Minstrel and Vaudeville Combination continue to attract enthusiastic audiences to the above theatre. Every dteni is interesting, and encores are numerous. The same programme will be given tonight, in addition to a selection of pictures. PRINCE'S KINK. Last evening was described on the pro l gramme as a "'Black and White" night at the Prince's rink, which, being interpreted, means that the men were expected to wear black dress clothes and the ladies white evening frocks. The effect was charming, and the floor presented a gay appearance during the evening. Prizes were awarded for the moat graceful skater and for a cigarette race. THE GLIDEAWAY. The attendance of enthusiasts in the pastime of roller-ekating continues at the Glideaway daily and nightly, and last night was no exception to the now well established rule. To-night will be decided the final of the three-mile championship of Auckland.
