A representative football match, under the auspices of the Goldflelds Rugby Union, was played this afternoon between Walhi and Karangahake, resulting in a win for Waihl by 17 points to 9. For the winners, Maddisou, Truscott, and Morgan scored tries, whilst Hyde converted one, and kicked two penalties. McNeil and Alexander registered tries for the visitors, and the latter kicked a penalty. Karangahake really had the best of the game, and their forwards proved much superior to the locals. Mr P. Evitt refereed. In the first junior matches, West defeated City by six to nil. The Defence Cadets had a victory over Oombined Junior lll.'s by 3 to nil. ROTORTTA. ROTORUA, Sunday. In the match for the Rugby Union Club championship the game Waikiti v. City resulted in a win for Waikiti by twenty-three to nil. Owing to absentees. City played ■with twelve men in the first spell and nine only in the second through injuries. Kahukura v. Suburbs played a draw, three all. Melville scored for Kahukura and Z. Mitchell kicked a penalty goal for Suburbs. In League championship club matches Albions beat Star by 16 to 8. For the Albions tries were scored by Kiri Kapu, Morse, McCallnm, and a penally goal by McCallum. For the stars Hodge and Ngapapa scored. WHANGAREI. WHANGAREI, Saturday. At Rugby football at Kensington Park to-day, Middle Harbour beat Kiripaka by 3 points to nil, after a strenuously contested game. Pettit kicked a goal for the winners. Mr Kivell acted as referee. During the course or play Wells, of Middle Harbour, received somewhat 6erlous injuries by being charged by a Kiripaka player, and medical attention was necessary. The offender was ordered off the field. Whangarei City Seniors beat Suburbs (Maungnkaramea) by 17 points to nil at Mangapal, tries being scored by Storey, Dignau, Falkuer and Swanberg .converted). Codlin (back) and Gunson and MeClune (forwards) played a good game for Suburbs. Mr McLeod refereed. At Kiripaka the Whangarei Juniors beat Kiripaka by 9 points to nil. Duncan scored I two tries for Whangarei, and kicked a penalty goal. Mr Kivell acted as referee.
