FATAL FIRES.
SEVEN BTTRNED TO DEATH. (Received 8.15 a.m.) I LONDON, July 15. A large residential block in Bombaywas destroyed by fire to-day. Six natives, who were in the upper j part of the building, wore cut off from ' the stairways and made their way to the roof, wnere they were burncrl to death in sight of an immense crowd of I helpless spectators. One man, who jumped to the street, ■was killed. ' In a fire at Portland, Oregon, one man was burned to death, two hundred horses also perished and seven blocks of buildings were destroyed.
