LAWYERS AND THEIR FEES.
LLOYD GEORGE APOLOGISES. (Received 5.45 a.m.) LONDON, July 15. Mr. Lloyd George (Chancellor of the Exchequer, in a letter to the Law Society, replying to the latter's motion of censure on him for his statement that lawyers always opposed reforms which took fees out of their own pockets, said thnt he was sorry if he had offended. He explains that his criticisms of the Law Society were not intended to suggest that individual members, for the sake of their pockets, advocated what was contrary to the public interest, or to reflect upon the Society's honour and reputation.
