Tihe general manager reports that since the company commenced development work in No. 4 and below No. 5 levels 1555 tons of ore have been crushed and treated for a return of bullion valued at £4075. The average gross value of the ore treated was £2 16/11 per ton, and average net value £2 12/6 per ton. This is the first return since November, 1908. The following returns are reported from the Beeftor «oines:— Progress.—Crushed 4255 tons, yielding bullion to the value of £5746; cyanided 2805 tons, valne £1085; sulphnrets produced an estimated value of £752. Wealth of Nations.—Crushed 1780 tons, yielding bullion to the value of £2488; cyanided 1650 tons, value £652. Blackwater.—Crushed 3400 tons, yielding bullion of the value of £8572; cyanided ,2035 tons, valne £565. CROMWELL G-iL COMPANY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVKRCARGILI*, Tnesday. A cable was received to-day by Mr. J. C. Wihiteman, who was a passenger by the TJlinxaroa, that the Cromwell Gold Mining Company, with, a capital of £20,000, was underwritten in Melbourne last Wednesday, and the shares were over-subscribed on Friday.
