A STRIKE INEVITABLE. LONDON, June 8. A strike in the woollen trade in Yorkshire is inevitable. A cable on Tuesday stated that the fettlers and millers employed in 70 woollen mills in Yorkshire had decided to tender notices of resignation on the 16th inst., unless increased wages and better working conditions were meanwhile conceded. A strike would throw 20.000 idle.
