HARBOUR WORKS.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —I wish to congratulate you on tho questions to the Auckland Harbour Board in the sub-leader of Saturday's "Star." They are very simple, and your requests therein may be, and should be, easily complied with. Should the Board mentioned decline to give satisfaction, may I request that every citizen fix his signature to a petition to be shortly circulated, praying the Government to set up an independent Commission of Inquiry into the methods and works, etc., of the Harbour Board? —I am, etc., S. F. D. MINTER.
