LICENSING BILL.
SEVEN HUNDRED AMENDMENTS. (Received 8.20 ajn.) LONDON, October 2. The Government has decided to devote twenty-three days of the autumn session, ■which opens next -week, to the consideration of the Licensing Bill in the House of Commons. Already notice of seven hundred amendments, many by Liberals, has been given. The Corporation of Glasgow has, by 34 votes to 19, decided to petition the Goyernment in favour of the Licensing Bill.
