SCULLING MATCH.
BARRY'S TRIAL. (jßecerved 8.35 a.m.) LONDON, October 2. Ernest Barry, who meets Geo. Towns on October 12 in a sculling match for the championship of England, covered the full course from Putney to Mortlake, _£ miles, in 21 mm. 43J sec. " Towns covered the same course the previous day in 22min. 25s_c., but the tides in the river vary so greatly that the times offer little comparison as to the merits of the two scullers.
