BRITAIN'S NAVAL SUPREMACY
SUREST GUARANTEE OF PEACE. SPEECH BY MR. McKENNA. (Beceived 8.8 a.m.) LONDON, October 2. Mr. Reginald McKenna, First Lord of the Admiralty, in a speech at Pontypool, Wales, said that the supremacy of the British fleet was the surest guarantee of European peace. He added that the Admiralty was doing its utmost to relieve distress in the engineering trades by placing orders for new vessels with private contractors.
