EXTRAORDINARY CASE AT PERTH.
PERTH, Sept. 17. | An extraordinary domestic tragedy oe- ' curred at North Perth this afternoon. Mrs Macdonald, wife of an electrical engineer, was found by a neighbour with her two children lying in a bath semi-conscious, and in a greatly exhausted condition. A cup that had contained Paris green was found besiae them. , The eldest child said her mother had j made them drink the stuff, and had drunk some herself, and then placed them in the bath. All three were taken |to the hospital, where tbe children, who . had vomited freely, revived. j The mother, however, is in a precarious state. j It appeared that Mrs Macdonald sufferled from heart trouble, and learned that ' a cure was hopeless, and this preyed upon her mind.
