A NEW CUIRASS.
ARMOUR FOR SOLDIERS. LONDON. July 13. Mr. W. T. Stead, in an article in the "Daily Chronicle," states that the French Government is making exhaustive experiments wrth a new composition for armour, and that the result practically upholds the inventor's claims, namely, that its resistance is fourfold more than chilled steel, that it is invulnerable to rifle bullets, not heavier than the existing cuirass, costs one-half, and is more expeditiously repaired.
