<By Telegraph.—Fress Association.} WAIHI, this Say. At a mfeeting of the Golf Club committee It was decided to reopeu the cup competitions on Saturday next. At a meeting of the Pride of Waihi lodge of Druids the district president, Bro Field paiil his first visit to the lodge. Bro. Pinky having resigned the office of Arch-Druid owing to his removal from the district, Bro. A. Kobinson was elected to fill the vacancy. Returns in connection with criminal cases before the local court during the last quarter show that the number of persons summarily convicted was 39 males and 1 femalefined, 23 males; imprisoned in lieu of fine or surety, o; peremptory imprisonment 11 males, 1 female; total fines, £31 13/. in civil cases the number of cases dealt with by the Stipendiary Magistrate were IS, the aggregate amount sued for was £445 2/3 and the amounts recovered totalled £231 0/7.
