PRESBYTERIAN SCHOLARSHIPS

The Theological Committee of the Presbyterian Church has awarded the following scholarships to students who passed the matriculation examination in Decomber last:— Yule No. 1 scholarship, £25 a year for three years: R. S. Watson, Feilding. St. Paul's office-bearers' (Wanganui) scholarship. £25 a year for three years; E. J. Tippler, East Pareora. -Mary" scholarship, £28 a year for three years: J. P. White, Pleasant Point. Somerville No. 2 scholarship, £20 a year for three years: W. Raff, Dunedin. Auld Lang Syne Club scholarship, £30 a year for three years: L P. Boyle, Hastings. The committee will endeavour to find a scholarship for D. N. McDiannid, of New Plymouth, who gained 432 marks when he matriculated ia 1002. The Rev. G. B. Monro, of Remuera, secured a "Remuera" scholarship of £25 a year for three years, which he wished assigned to Harold Peat. The committee has agreed to this. It is understood that Mr Monro has raised some other money for the scholarship fund.
