DEPARTURE OF TRESIDDER.
» A FAREWELL INTERVIEW. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. Tresidder left Wanganui to-day en route for Newcastle. He was the recipient hist evening of a presentation travelling bag and rug, while to Mrs. Tresiddesr and their children a presentation of jewellery was made. Tresidder has not decided whether he will return to the Dominion. Hβ says he has not tiie slightest intention of rowing again, and will hand over the Australian championship title to Thoroughgood, who has challenged him. He ridiculed the suggestion of Mr. Fogwell and others that lie was not properly fit when he rowed Webb, and he is convinced that hs ia "as good as ever," and rowed up to test form on the day, but met a better man.
