The annual public meeting in connection | with the Bayheld Methodist Sunday-school anniversary was held list evening. There was a good gathering of friends and children of the school. Mr. It. Hobbs, who ■ presided, gave an interesting account of the liuildiug of the church aud its progress since erection, and afterwards distributed the prizes won by the scholars, and informed the meeting of his intended departure for England, but while he was thousands of miles away from them he would remember the Bayfield Church and Sundayschool. Mr. Trevarthen. the Superiutend- - cut of the School, read the annual report " aud balance-sheet, which showed that the school dui'iug the year had made excellent • progress, and that the fuuds were in a " healthy condition.
