WEST END ROWING CLUB.
The twenty-third annual meeting of the West-End Rowing Club will be held in the Club' Rooms to-night. The annual report to be presented to members congratulates them oh the satisfactory position of the club, both as to membership and finance. The number of, active members was 132. Members' fees and subscriptions totalled £155 4/o; whilst £40 ifj/6 was donated by honorary officers. Prize money won during the season amounted to £44. The club ranked as runners-up for the championship pennant, won by the Waiteinata Club. During the .--winter months progressive euchre parties, had been held, and though the attendance had been somewhat disappointing, those present enjoyed themselves. The bal-ance-sheet shows receipts amounting to £'283 6/3, against an expenditure of £243 5/7. The assets exceed liabilities by £876 X/l.
