Henry Touison, a—weltknown city fctisf- •' ness man, being garroted in road, South Tarra,- and fobbed of Ms watch and chain. The robbers 'were frustrated in their attempt to -steal Mr. Tolson's money by the arrival of.a pedestrian, upon which they jumpeii • over the fence of Fawkner Park, on ttf ~ other side of the road, and got clearaway. Mr. Tolson was apparently .a, marked man.' He had been to the races at Flemington in the afternoon, and had a good day, and most of iis money was in gold. He had.only just stepped off H the last tram _at the corner. of Parkstreet and Toorak-road, when the two men came up behind, one catching him by the throat while the other anatclied his watch and chain. It is evident-that Tolson's movements lad been traced J right from the time he left the: race-> :?';■ course.
