WOMEN'S PRESBYTERIAN MISSION UNION.

The annual meeting of the Auckland Pi.sbyterian Women's Mission Union was held "in St. Stephen's Church, Ponsouby. yesterday afternoon, there being a very large attendance of members. The Key. G. _!. Monro (Moderator -of the Presbytery) occupied the chair. Missions. —Several reports from foreign missions were received, showing that the work on the whole was in a nourishing condition.

Annual Reports.—The annual report stated that two more branches had been formed, one at Hamilton and the other at Ellerslie, increasing the number of branches affiliated with the Union to 16. The total amount subscribed for missions had been £127 11/2, of which £7(5 14/__ was for Maori work. Large parcels of clothing had been forwarded by various churches, and had been sent to the diffierent missions. Special tuention was also given ln the report to the valuable aud unsparing labour of several of the officers. The report <of the treasurer showed that the credit balance was £4 4/U. —The report was adopted.

Election of Officers. —The following officers were elected: President, Mrs. Macaulay Caldwell; vice-president,[Mrs. G. B. Monro; hon. secretary, Mrs. S. Falls; hon. treasurer. Miss Rattray.

On the motion of the Key. M. Caldwell, a vote of thanks was passed to the retiring officers for their splendid work during the year. Another vote of thanks was passed to St. Stephen's branch of the Union for hospitality extended to visiting members. It was also resolved that a letter of sympathy in her bereavement; be forwarded to the widow of the late Dr. Lamb, who had done such good work for the mission in the New Hebrides. A vote of thanks to the chairman closed the proceedings.
