FIVE MONTHS EXPORT.

WELLINGTON. Tuesday.

Since the beginning of the year 190.----7730s of gold, valued at £30o"489, have been exported from New Zealand, or 16,71 loz. valued at less than for the first five months of last year. The export of gold last month was 55,6550r. valued at £224.463, as compared with 42.2030 Z. of the value of £171.065, in the corresponding month ot last year.

The quantity of silver exported last month was 265.4500z, valued at £27.002.

The falling off is not at the Auckland end of the colony, as the output for March. 1907, was £137.052. as against £112.391 for the same month last year. In February, 1907, Auckland's total" was £95,765, as compared with £58.055 in the same month the previous year, and for the month of May the yield from mines on the Hauxaki goldnelds was £ ISS JO9.
