TE AROHA IMPROVEMENTS.
VATT7RAT. TURKISH BATH. (By Xelesraplt.—Own Correspondent.) TE AB.OHA. this day. In consequence of a good deal of correspondence the Government, I understand, propose to spend a considerable sain of money at the Te Aroha. domain. Two important additions will be made to the baths, being an electric bath and a natural turkish bath. Respecting the latter, it was necessary to drive into a hill, and, after a distance of about sixty feet had been negotiated, the temperature became so warm that the men -worked under very unpleasant conditions. In fact it was necessary to provide artificial ventilation. Another drive was then run in about 40 feet higher up, and a winze was sunk to connect the two•workings. There is apparently a continuous volume of steam ascending through this up-rise, and it is over this that I understand the vapour bath is to be erected- Other important improvements in the domain, are also contemplated.
