THE TRIAL OF THAW.
A Perjurer Unmasked. NEW YORK, March 16. The witness Hummel, cross-examined in. the Thaw case, admitted he had been convicted of conspiracy and had been disbarred. Two other indictments for s.ubornation and perjury were pending against him. A stenographer in Hummel's employ testified that Miss Nesbit, now Mrs. Thaw, signed an affidavit wherein she stated that the confessions in Paris were extorted.
The case has been adjourned until Monday.
