j & Win for Cambridge. J LONDON, March 16. y-'Cambridge won the boat race by four and a-half lengths. The race was rowed in the face of a strong wind, and the water was choppy. Oxford won the toss, and chose the Surrey side of the river. The Cambridge crew, which was an exceptionally strong one, led throughout, and, thongh. Oxford made a plucky struggle, Cambridge paddled home winners by four lengths and a-half in 20m. 265.

[Saturday's race was the -63rd in the history of "the contest. Of these 34 have been won by Oxford, 28 by Cambridge, and one was a dead heat. The course is between Putney and Mortlake, a distance of four miles.]
