MAHARAHARA COPPER MINES.
Purtber samples from the Maharabara copper mine \rere on view to-day in the window of Mr. J. Thornes' mart, Queenstreet. One large block of good-looking ore is from an outcrop 350 feet vrest of where the samples sent last week were obtained. This is interesting, as showing the large extent of the deposit. A still more interesting exhibit consists of several pieces of peacock ore taken from No. 1 lode at the 400 feet level. These are really excellent samples of ore, and the two combined prove the existence of the copper deposit 350 feet further westward, and also 400 feet lower down the hill.
