THE DUST NUISANCE.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —It would be interesting to the general public to know what lias been done in Auckland to abate the dust nuisance, the mi?ans employed, and the result. I notice that in Liverpool creosite oil mixed with resin gave the cleanest and nicest appearance, while the surface coated with ordinary petroleum was the least lasting. Next in order came mixtures of creosite oil with tallow and hot creosite oil. ifeavy coal tar waste oil lasted rather longer than the creosite oil, and was very much cheaper. What did our local expert use, and with what results? —I am, etc., AMTCUS.
