THE RUSSIAN WARSHIPS.
NOVIK PURSUED AND DRIVEN ASHORE. DIANA AT FRENCH PORT. (Received 9.S a.m.) LONDON, August 20. A telegram which has been received from Mukden states that the Russian cruiser Novik has arrived a t JLarahovik, on the Siberian island of Sag-alien. The same message states that the cruiser Diana is at Saigon, a port of the French colony sf Cochin China. Later advices, which are to hand from other sources, assert that the Japanese cruisers Tsushima and Chitose p-Tsmed the Novik and forced her to light. The engagement resulted in the Russian vessel's defeat, and finally she was -Tivom ashore at Karakovik.
