A great fire has taken place in one of* the large soap works in Aberdeen. The building contained large quantities of tallow and oil, and this ran out blazing into the streets. A great panic ensued, and finally the military authorities had to be communicated with, and a body of troops sent to restore order. The damage done by the fire amounted to (?) £10,000.
