ONEHUNGA BOROUGH COUNCIL

The ordinary meeting of the Cnehunga Borough Council was held in the Council Chambers last night, when there were present His Worship the Mayor (Mr D. A. Sutherland), In the chair, Crs. Tole, Glanfield, Colledge, Moody, and Stoupe. Mr Davis, Te Papapa; Mrs Gibbons, Norman's Hill; and Mr Hills. Selwyn street, each wrote to the Council asking them to form footpaths in front of their properties. —The Mayor moved that the matter be left in the hands of the Streets Committee to consider nnd report upon. Tramways. — The Town Clerk reported having sent the following letter to Mr Hansen, manager of the Auckland Electric Tramways Company:—"My Council agreed on Monday evening to request that .tout company take steps to carry out the following Sunday morning time-table, viz., leave Auckland for Onehnnsa 8.45 a.m., 9.15 a.m., 9.45 a.m., 10.15 a.m.; leav<? Onebunga 9 a.m., 9.30 a.m., 10 a.m." — The clerk of tire Epsom Road Board wrote asking the co-oppra-tiou of th-p Council in urging upon Mr Hansen to run special cars at night at suitable hours in addition to the cars for ordinary time-table, so as to me.pt the requirements of the residents of the districts of Epsom, One-tree Hill, Mount Roskill, and Onehtmga. —The Mayor moved that Mr Hogg be informed that the Council ia quite willing to send delegates to attend any meeting. Tenders. —The following tenders were accepted:—Taupiri coal, J. J. ftusseil, 14/B per ton; recreation reserve No. 1, J. F. Watson, £53 per annum; reserve No. 2, H. Mo-Ge-han, £9 peT annum: reserve No. 3, T. McGohan, £9 per annum; reserve No. 4, H. McGehan, £14 per annum; dog collars, irew, Mr B. B. Wright, 7Jd each; re-plating old collars, lid each; borough carting, McCarten Brothers.
