SCHOOLS BREAKING UP.

GLENIVEAGII SCHOOL. On last Friday "afternoon there was a pleasant gathering of pareuts and friends at the annual exhibition oi' the drawings and of jUrs Young's puphs. Forty drawings were hung, each displaying a distinct advance hi skill and fiuisi, particularly those of the Misses Russell, Howard, Layer, White and Buchanan, the pastel drawings being especially admired. The needlework as usual was closely examined .by the visitors, and pronounced most creditable to teacher and pupil. Miss (J. Cave s beautiful table centre attracted most attention. The following young ladies received prizes:— For first place in routine work In English subjects: IV., G. Cave; ILL, E. Young; 11., M. White; 1., F. Wilson. For first place in arithmetic and algebra: IT., G. Cave; 111., G. Buchanan; 11., L. White; 1., D. Ediniston. For highest marks in 'examinations: IV., M. White; 111., G. Buchanan; 11., L. White. Other prizes for general improvement were also given.
