TJjree Drunkards.—Charlotte Fletcher adiiiitteU a charge of drunkenness, but in reply to a Charge oi being in the Newton Hotel, during the currency of a prohibition order against her, said she could not read, and her husband had not told her about it. She admitted, however, that, when she was invited by a friend to have a drink, she replied that she feared it was more than she dared to do. She" was fined £1 and costs. An elderly first offender expressed sorrow for a lapse into drunkenness , and was discharged with -a caution. John Johnson, who had been recently convicted, was fined 10/ and costs for drunkenness.
