WAIHI EXTENDED.

(By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.)

WAIHI, .this day,

Good progress is being made in the Waihi Extended mine. The country now being driven through is intersected with quartz stringers. The ■manager expects to intersect the lode any time. The company has applied for a spare piece of ground bounded on the south by the company's own property, bounded towards the east by the Pride of Waihi, and towards the west by the Martha North, one time known as Martha Extended. This area is being applied for under the title of the Pride Extended. It is considered a valuable addition to the Waihi Extended. WAIHI SOUTH. The crosscut from the Junction West shaft is making satisfactory progress. Nothing will probably be met with till a greater distance has been driven.
