WAIHI.

I understand that the ore from the Waihi Cpmpan}''s new reef recently discovered on the footwall side of the Martha lode has been milled for the first time to-day. No doubt the fact that the Waihi Extended Company is applying for 19 acres to the north of the Waihi boundary is accounted for by the direction this new reef is supposed to be taking. The Extended manager is of opinion that he will cut this samp reef in his crosscut. The stone from this reef is reported to be very rich; the lode is some' 25ft through.
