The return from, the Kauri Freeholds Gold Estates mine at Opitonui for the past month showed further improvement. For the four weeks ending September 17 the mill, running one shift, crushed 1138 tons of ore for a return of £1334 4/1. By amalgamation £601 0/10 was obtained, the sands and slimes treated yielded £733 3/3. The previous month's return was £1229 6/7. WAIHI BEACH CLAIMS."
