COROMANDEL WARDEN'S COURT.

COROMANDEL, this day.

At the Warden's Court this morning, before Mr Bush, the following applications were granted:—A. H. McNeil, South 'K.apanga ■ special claim; John Carroll, .Kuaotunu alluvial claim; L. Barrett, residence site, No. 10, Driving Creek; A. JAndrews, surrender. Standard Extended claim; G- 1L Boyd, permission to work l'oneke No. 2, and Standard claims with two men each for six months; A- J. Prescott, six months protection for Day Dawn claim; Queen of the- North O.M. Co., permission to work with two men for six months; F. Hodge, Sea View special claim. A case. J. C. Holloway v. Johu Eyre, suit for forfeiture of Golden Bobs claim for non-working, was heard. Forfeiture was decreed. Jas. Meredith v. F. M. Hock, suit for forfeiture of residence site at Cabbage Bay. Mr Camel I appeared fdr the plaintiff, and Mr Walker for defendant. The latter raised the point that the license being under a fort mer Mining Act, the breach of provisions of the new Act did not carry forfeiture of the license. The Warden upheld .Mr Walker's contention,! and dismissed the complaint with costs.
