WIRTH'S CIRCUS.
To-morrow evening, on the Freeman's Bay site, Wirth Brothers' circus and menagerie will give their first performance. The name of Wirth is sufficient guarantee that the exhibition will be well worthy of patronage. Among the new acts- may be mentioned that in which Mons. Rahoul, the animal trainer, appears in a ring surrounded by a high iron railing fence, and puts three sleek and healthy-looking denizens of the jungle through various acts, requiring rare tutoring. To all lovers of equestrianism Mr "Welby Cooke's clever and finished riding is well worth seeing:. His double jockey act with Mr Wirth ls also a most skilful and effective feature. The Mirses Wirth have lost none of their dash or grace as equestriennes, Miss Mariz'.e's juggling feats on a bare-backed steed being especially praiseworthy. Mr Philip Wirth introduces his six Australian brumbies, which go through a series of. pretty evolutions without a sign of fraedousness. In the acrobatic line the circus is also strong. The feats of Pedro on the Roman rings and Vantell and Guil'aume on the horizontal bars always call forth general admiration, while the high jumping by a corps of athletes is decidedly good. A little fellow of five or six summers also goes through a graceful performance, in which he seems to be able to twist his body into all shapes without effort. The wire-walking of two lady members of the company also dp~ serves mention. An act which provokes much hilarity is that of a bear on horseback, Bruno sitting down to a repast after his work is done. A monkey acts the part of a waiter.
