FOUR-IN-HAND.
Shares in the Four-in-Hand Gild Mining Companj'q advanced, in price to-day from buyers at 7d to lOd at the call, and slightly fore was offered later on. Mr W. Holgate, managing director of the company, returned to town to-day, after a visit of inspection to the mine. He brought with him a few pounds of rich specimen stoen, which were on view at the oflice of Mr J. B. Sheath. The managing director reports that the reef at the low level has widened out to six feet, and a good parcel of picked stone was obtained at last breaking down, witht gold left still showing in the face. The stopes on the hillward side of the level have much improved, gold being freely seen at each breaking down.
