WAIHI, Friday. ■rowiMl*? , weekly meeting of the Waihi Rugby Union, held last evening it was decided to suspend one of the junior players for unseemly behaviour, for a term of two years, from taking part iii any match, and the same player was also warned off the ground for twelve months. Mrs Lawless received a unanimous vote of thanks for her presentation of a handsome gold bangle, to be competed by members in place kicking. Mr Pilling was the recipient of a unanimous vote of thanks for his gift of caps, and a cup valued £5.

Mr J. G. Stott, inspector of the National Bank of New Zealand, is at present in Waihi. He was surprised at the increase of population and general advancement of the place since his last visit some six years ago, when he opened the Paeroa branch of his bank.
