AGAIN
Auckland lias despatched another body of her young- men to fight for the Empire in South Africa. Their departure, lacked ' that display of public enthusiasm which their comrades who went before them on the'same quest enjoyed, but we doubt not that Wellington, whither our boys have gone, will, on behalf of the whole colony, do as fitting honour to the Seventh Contingent as has been done to its predecessors. In the "Graphic" this week is published a full-page picture of the Auckland boys of the Seventh, with other interesting scenes in connection with their departure. The departure of the Imperial troops has also a prominent place among the illustrations. So great has been the public interest manifested in the visit of the latter to New Zealand that the journal decided to " AGAIN devote some of its space to such scenes and incidents as have not yet appeared in any pictorial. Being the only illustrated paper whose photographer accompanied the troops to the Rotorua Wonderland, it is . in the position to give its readers some; pictnves of Tommy in tlie geyser region—pictures which will always have a strange attraction. It was also successful hi obtaining exclusive views of the Indian quarters, where no other photographers were allowed. The "Graphic," in this week's issue, may therefore claim to be. AGAIN first in the field for the number, interest, and artistic merit of its illustrations. Our readers will remember that this is a mail number, and one object in view in giving prominence to pictures of the re-
cent visit is to provide something" uniqtie for sending1 to friends in the Old Country. Many were unable to secure copies of last week's number for this pur-pose. The present issue will afford them an opportunity AGAIN. The number is now on sale.
