WIRTH BROTHERS' CIRCUS.
Much interest is centred hi the coming of .Wirth Brothers' circus, with* its houses, animals and skilled artistes, which is: announced .to return to Auckland on Friday next. Wirth's circus, which is so' well -. known in Xew'Zealand, was founded iv 1880, and since it last visited Auck-i f land it has been on an extensive, tour pf the world, adding* to. its store of novelties, till it has become a recognised leader iy. the circus world.' The show comprises the famous boxing ponies and a host of performing animals, the best horses and ponies pro(curable, trained to perfection, lady, and gentlemen equestrians, acrobats, » jugglers, clowns, making up a circua full of life and go. During its tour of the world the circus visited Europe, South America, Africa, the Transvaal, .Rhodesia, India, China, Japan, Bur-' ■ mah and Java, during which time the proprietors gained much experience,' and lost no opportunity of picking up novelties. Other important engage-. nients will only allow a very brief season in. Auckland, which, will;-be limited to one week. The initial per-, formance will be given on Saturday, March 2nd, and, in consideration of the season being so short, the management have determined to give twoi shows daily. .
