CAMBRIDGE, this day. ,| An old identity died suddenly last ft: evening. Mr. Edward Hewitt, for m many years jjropriefor of the Cri- JsL ierion Hotel, was putting on his coat to go to church when he dropped ■ dead of heart disease. He had been. I ailing several years. He was aged G6, ~ and leaves two sous and one daughter. ', Deceased was mueli respected here. 1 He was a prominent churchman, was ; churchwarden for many years, and- - was instrumental hi getting a peal of bells -for the clini-cli, {giving- £ 100 towards them. lie was also a member }of the Domain Board since its incep- .'-.- ---tion twenty years ago. a member of the former Town Board, a most enthusiastic supporter of the Hunt >:; Club, and a grand old sport. The M funeral takes place to-morrow after* , noon. A daughter, who had been , visiting in town, is returning to-day.
