N.Z. GLASS COMPANY (LTD.)

The first statutory meeting of shareholders in the N.Z. Glass Company was held .at 'i o'clock yesterday afternoon at the office of the Company. No. 71, Queenstreet, at which there was a good attendance, Mr Mennie presiding.

The Chairman (Mr Mennie) said the nominal capital of tho Company was £12,000, in 12,000 shares of £1 each, and it was decided to offer SOOO to the public. At the present time there were 47 shareholders, with 6225 shares. A site of two acres hail been secured in Mechanics Bay on lease for 21 years ar an annual rental of £W per annum. Mr L. L. Mount left, for America on September ;!. lie had succeeded in obtaining the right for Australasia for a new and improved machine whicli he considered would repay its first cost within 12 months. Mr Mount expected to leave America about the 23rd. The plant would cost .£250 under the estimate. The Chairman said the directors would require to make a call towards the end of next month.
